The Bibliothèque François Mitterand is the National Library of France. The National Library of France is a public establishment under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture. This very large library consists of four large angular towers of 79 m each , which symbolically represent four open books : the Tower of times, the Tower of the laws , the Tower of numbers and the Tower of letters. These towers accommodate seven floors of offices and eleven floors of libraries.
The centre of the building is occupied by a garden of 12,000 m² closed to the public but which helps to create a calm atmosphere in the heart of the city. In addition, two galleries regularly host exhibitions, conferences, seminars, study days and concerts.
